Birthday Bandit
Harper is incredibly creative and persistent when it comes to getting what she wants. During her mom’s birthday party one year, Harper knew there was an amazing food spread, and she was intent on getting her fair share (which, in Harper’s view, is 100% of the food). In an attempt to protect the table, partygoers set up a barricade of plastic tiaras. Did that stop Harper? Not a chance. Harper carefully removed each crown, one by one, until she claimed her prize — a true snack connoisseur with a mischievous streak!
The Hunter
During a recent trip to Harpers Ferry, West Virginia (no relation 😉), Harper’s natural instincts kicked in when she discovered a deer antler in the wild. She immediately went into “hunter mode,” sniffing, inspecting, and claiming her prize. Her curiosity and keen sense of smell are always on full display when she’s exploring new places.
The Protector
Harper also has an intuitive, protective side. When her mom was pregnant with twins, she did not realize her water had broken. But Harper knew something was different. This pup wouldn’t leave her mom’s side, pawing at her belly and barking as if to check on the twins herself. Talk about loyalty!
Dining Room Diva
Even during the quirks of Covid quarantine, Harper kept life interesting. She figured out how to climb onto the dining room table and would sit there like a little sphinx, surveying her domain. Her family could never get mad — she looked so proud of herself!
Harper is a reminder that dogs are full of surprises: clever, playful, protective, and endlessly entertaining. She’s family, a partner-in-crime, and a source of joy every day.
